* Craigslist is ranked 7th in traffic website for all English-language sites
* 25 million people use Craigslist every month
* The Craigslist users self-publish more than 20 million new ads each month
* Craigslist has more ads than 1 million new jobs each month
* Craigslist has 24 employees working out of a Victorian house in the InnerSunset district of San Francisco

Craigslist Gets an absolute TON of traffic. There are only 6 web sites that rank higher in traffic. Yahoo, AOL / Time Warner, Microsoft / MSN, Google / YouTube, eBay, MySpace / NewsCorp are the only sites that rank higher. Actually it is surprising that Craigslist is no longera name known throughout the world.
Okay, how are theses forums and post moderated? Moderate I mean, who is the administrator, which blocks the ads, which erases the messages, and prohibits users? The answer: yes. Craigslist is 99% of the community moderated, which means that if you are patrolling the boards and see an ad that you disagree with or think is tasteless or inappropriate, you can report it and have it removed.
On the downside: Only real people can come and Banyou from Craigslist. What are the odds of that? Not great, but it can happen. Remember – 20 million new ads each month, and only 24 employees to moderate this.
